Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Wet Cast Workers to join our team at a newly established precast concrete manufacturing facility in Weyers Cave ,VA. From day one, you will help preparing for production, assisting with the installation of new equipment, and performing general construction tasks. This role is critical in helping set up and maintain operations as production begins. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support the overall operations of our projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety in the workplace, and the ability to work outside.
Duties
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while on the job site.
- Support skilled tradespeople as needed during construction or maintenance tasks.
- From day one, you will help preparing the facility for production, assisting with the installation of new equipment, and performing general construction tasks
- This role is critical in helping set up and maintain operations as the plant begins production
- Assist with work to configure and clear the site for production activities
- Perform general tasks such as lifting, moving materials, and preparing molds for wet casting processes
- Set up and assist with the installation of new plant equipment and machinery
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete into molds for wet cast production, ensuring high-quality standards are met
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and organized manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in troubleshooting any issues with equipment or production processes
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of molds, tools, and equipment
Qualifications
- Preferred – Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred – Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role is preferred but not required.
- Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
- Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
- Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to step up 20 inches.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.34 - $25.00 per hour
