Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prepress Generalist / Platemaker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and producing high-quality printing plates for various print jobs. You will work closely with the customer service and production teams to ensure that all prepress processes are executed efficiently and accurately, maintaining the highest standards of quality control.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process files for printing, ensuring they meet the required specifications utilizing a Macintosh desktop publishing system.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to manipulate graphics and layouts as needed.
- Operate Esko Workflow.
- Implement color management techniques to achieve accurate color reproduction.
- Operator plate maker to create plates for offset and Flexo. Mount Flexo plates.
- Conduct quality control checks on plates before they are sent to press.
- Collaborate with account managers to troubleshoot any design-related issues prior to production.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
Skills
- Proficiency in prepress processes, including file preparation and plate making.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and file management software.
- Experience with flexographic and offset plate making preferred.
- Conventional or basic electronic prepress experience preferred.
- Experience in envelope converting industry desired.
- Familiarity with color management principles in print production.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the production process.
- Ability to work collaboratively, within tight deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of quality and professionalism.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
