Support the supervision and daily classroom functions for a group of children
- Follow all local, state, and Primrose health and safety guidelines
- Assist in implementing approved lesson plans and classroom schedules
- Maintain an organized, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
- Reinforce positive behaviors and set clear expectations for children
- Perform light housekeeping and ensure cleanliness of classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with school standards
- Assist in other duties as assigned by the Director or designee
Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred
- Understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental needs of young children
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs for child care, safety, and emergency needs
- For Infant and Young Toddler teachers: ability to safely lift infants in and out of cribs
