Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities as part of the adopted Creative Curriculum/Gold as aligned to the Early Learning Content Standards. Provide modifications to meet unique needs of students as identified by their IEP.
Assessment/evaluation of kindergarten readiness skills for students meeting eligibility criteria for placement in a special needs preschool as according to the Ohio Department of Education Division of Early Childhood.
Provide a safe, developmentally appropriate environment.
Prepare daily/weekly lesson plans and snack menus and indicate how lessons are geared to individual IEP goals.
Provide guidance and direction to instructor’s assistant.
Provide ongoing communication with parents including daily notes home, monthly newsletters, home visits, and parent conferences.
Review and follow all rules, regulations, and policies as outlined by the Ohio Department of Education, Ohio Department of Health, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, and Step Up To Quality.
Serve on multi-disciplinary team to provide input regarding student needs in the development and implementation of IEP goals and objectives, the Evaluation Team Report and transition plans.
Participate in annual in-service and professional growth opportunities.
Keep up to date records and data on student attendance and progress.
Requisition needed supplies and equipment on appropriate forms.
Prepare quarterly progress reports including components from ancillary staff such as OT, PT, and speech therapists.
Comply with all applicable licensure/certification requirements for this position that may be imposed by local and state authorities.
Restroom students as necessary.
Participate in regular rotating staff duties, such as bus duties.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Educational Services.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $54,798.00 per year
