Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing age-appropriate educational activities, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring the well-being of each child in our care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote child development.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Foster strong relationships with students, encouraging their curiosity and love for learning.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- A degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred but not mandatory.
- MSDE Lead Preschool Qualification (i.e. 90 hours in preschool ) is required.
- 2 Years experience in a licensed child care center as a lead teacher is required.
- Strong skills in behavior management to effectively guide young children.
- Knowledge of best care practices and child welfare standards.
- Familiarity with MSDE Licensing regulations in the classroom.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
