We are looking for teachers who loves Jesus and have a biblical world view. This is more than a teaching position; it’s a ministry. This qualified Preschool Teacher has exceptional classroom management skills and a kind demeanor with children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. Flexibility is key to this position. We need someone with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at the same time while keeping a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Develop age appropriate, engaging lesson plans.
- Employ a variety of educational techniques to teach the children.
- Observe each child’s current state of development.
- Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms.
- Encourage children to interact with each other and problem solve.
- Guide children to think creatively and develop their own individual abilities.
- Be flexible! At WCA Preschool, we work as a team.
- Daily communicate well with your coworkers.
- Regularly and effectively communicate with parents on child’s progress.
- Track and document children’s progress.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher.
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods.
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills.
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable.
- Certification in child CPR/First Aid preferred.
- Valid license to practice profession.
