Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T symbols to ensure accurate bending and forming of sheet metal
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions of finished parts
- Inspect finished parts for quality and make adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating/set up press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment (AMADA Press Brake experience preferred)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T symbols and their application in sheet metal fabrication
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to fabricate sheet metal parts according to specifications
