Job Title: Room Preventative Maintenance Tech (PM Tech)

The Room Preventative Maintenance Technician (PM Tech) at Purity Spring Resort is responsible for inspecting and maintaining all elements within each guest room and customer common areas throughout the property. This individual will strive to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact guest comfort and satisfaction, the goal being to ensure a high-quality guest experience while minimizing costly repairs and maximizing asset lifespan. This individual will work as part of the resort team, and will communicate with front desk staff, housekeeping, maintenance, and facility management. The Resort PM Tech will work under direct supervision of the General Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all guestrooms.
- Utilize Room PM inspection Checklist for all inspections.
- Correct all minor deficiencies and ensure that rooms are functional “guest ready.”
- Report major discrepancies via workorder and communication to supervisor.
- Must be able to organize workday with an understanding of job time requirements (including prep and cleanup times)
- Operate two-way radios efficiently and professionally in communicating with hotel staff.
- Complete maintenance requests in a timely manner. These may include change out light bulbs, vinyl repairs, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repair.
- Appropriately maintain worksites with safety as a priority
- Report housekeeping issues to the front desk (i.e., torn sheets, ripped curtains)
- Properly take care of tools and equipment
- Other duties as deemed necessary or requested by management.
Qualifications Include:
- Applicant must be comfortable with technology. We utilize a Work Order Software to process workorders.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Wear name tag when working.
- Always maintain a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must use common sense and integrity in ensuring the security of guest belongings while working in guest suites.
- Applicant needs to have a flexible schedule as weekends and holidays may be required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
- Skills needed for this position include sheet rock repair, painting, wallpapering, hanging of window treatments, refinishing of furniture, light carpentry, light plumbing, light electrical, landscaping, snow removal and all other functions necessary to maintain the facility and property.
- Ability to operate various types of maintenance equipment.
- Heavy work-Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift, bend and squat for periods of time.
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions
