Description:
The Principal is the administrative head of the school directly responsible to the Superintendent for the operation of the building. The Principal's primary responsibility is the improvement of instruction with the majority of time involved in curriculum and staff development. The Principal is also responsible for budget, equipment, materials, use and condition of the building. The Principal is a member of the administrative team and is responsible for district-wide functions as assigned by the Superintendent.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:
- Illinois Educator License with Principal (PK-12) endorsement required
- Visible, accessible leadership with effective communication skills
- Experience in collaborative curriculum development, school improvement and RtI
- Personal attributes of integrity, courage, warmth, self-confidence, flexibility, good judgment and organization
- An understanding of the developmental nature of middle school students
- Experience in the development of an effective student-centered school program
- Skill in selecting and supervising highly qualified staff members
- Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with a diversified community, students, and staff members
- Ability to communicate and be responsive to parents about their concerns
