Overview Of The Role:
  • The Procurement Manager - Marketing is tasked with developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies for Media and Marketing categories within the Al Futtaim Group. The role manages an annual spend exceeding AED 100 million, ensuring alignment with procurement policies and strategic goals. The Manager will partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Marketing, Finance, and Corporate Services, to negotiate and manage key vendor relationships and compliance. Success in this role requires balancing speed and responsiveness with compliance and commercial discipline, while driving measurable value and cost savings.

What You Will Do:

Category and Sourcing Strategy

  • Develop and own comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including Media and Marketing, with targets for cost savings and service levels.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing projects, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, and select strategies for optimal outcomes.
  • Apply financial acumen and market intelligence to category and sourcing decisions, including budgeting and total-cost-of-ownership considerations.

Supplier and Contract Management

  • Manage high-value, complex supplier relationships and key strategic vendor contracts, ensuring protection of commercial and legal interests.
  • Monitor procurement compliance and apply risk management methods to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Drive performance improvement and collaboration initiatives with key suppliers, balancing performance, risk, and relationship considerations.

Stakeholder Management and Team Leadership

  • Act as a trusted business partner to internal stakeholders, aligning procurement activities with business objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Procurement Executives, providing guidance on sourcing and negotiation.
  • Influence decisions through structured, fact-based recommendations and strategic insights.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Strategic thinking and business acumen with a focus on procurement.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and ability to develop category strategies.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and e-sourcing/ERP systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional relationship building.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required; a postgraduate qualification or recognized Procurement/Supply Chain certification is an added advantage.
  • 4-5+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing, with a focus on Marketing and Advertising categories.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or managing team members.
