K&L is seeking an organized, data-driven, and low-ego Senior Product Manager with a passion for customer experience to help transform our industry-leading wine & spirits eCommerce platform. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping initiatives that directly improve conversion, retention, and customer delight—collaborating closely with engineering, retail, operations, customer service, finance, and more. You’ll immediately become a fan-favorite with our front line staff through your partnership in creating best-in-class tools that improve efficiency and accuracy for our store and warehouse teams.
You’ll own the product lifecycle end-to-end: digging deep into data, mapping user journeys, crafting clear requirements, and championing the projects that move the needle. Your strong product sense, technical fluency, and retail expertise will empower you to partner closely with engineers and stakeholders to quickly deliver features that truly resonate with our customers.
We want someone who thrives in ambiguity, wears multiple hats, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. At K&L, product managers are empowered to drive impact—whether that’s exploring new ways to delight wine and spirits enthusiasts everywhere or collaborating with engineering to modernize key components of our infrastructure. This is a great fit for an experienced PM energized by hands-on problem-solving, building iteratively, and making a visible difference for both users and the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive high-impact initiatives: Reimagine our auction experience for both end-users and staff, bring our subscription bottle-storage platform to market, and architect high-volume fulfillment tools used by our internal teams.
- Obsess over customer experience: Deeply understand users’ pain points and advocate for elegant, pragmatic solutions.
- Become a system expert: Over time, gain a deep, working knowledge of every part of our platform - customer and staff-facing alike - to anticipate edge cases and improve planning.
- Facilitate and clarify: Gather, organize, and distill information from across the company for complex projects.
- Partner with engineers and stakeholders to strike the right balance between usability, implementation speed, and technical constraints — always aiming for the best real-life outcome, rather than perfect theoretical solutions.
- Triage and prioritize: Proactively field, triage, and prioritize questions, bugs, enhancement requests, and feature ideas from both staff and customers. Make sure the most critical issues and the biggest opportunities always rise to the top.
- Analyze, test, and ship: Use SQL for data validation and analytics.
- Own documentation, testing, and help ensure that what we build is both correct and valuable.
- Stakeholder wrangling: Communicate roadmaps and updates with clarity.
- Balance priorities between engineering, business, and customer support.
- Multi-project juggling: Comfortably shift gears between multiple initiatives—never dropping a ball.
WHAT YOU WON’T DO
- You’re not a scrum master. Our engineers run their own Jira boards and manage their own work.
- While you’ll probably spend more time in Jira than the engineering team, project management and internal ticket tracking are not the key focus of this role.
