Role Summary
As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff (IC5), you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing LLM infrastructure, agent execution runtimes, and next-generation developer platforms. You'll collaborate closely with applied scientists and ML engineers to bring agentic workflows into real-world deployments—at scale. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for someone deeply rooted in distributed systems and low-level computer science.
Key Responsibilities- Unlock the power of OCI with our strategic customers.
- Technical depth and breadth required to understand strategic customer needs and match them to the OCI products/service footprint.
- Be the conduit between inbound product teams, engineering and the customer.
- Identify specific problems, cloud adoption drivers, value propositions, and solutions.
- Focus on determining what key reference customers want, problem solve, deliver the key features/products they want.
- Run programs and analytics to determine what is working vs. what is not.
- Drive the technical direction, product vision, roadmap, and execution across multiple product teams.
- Drive the discovery, development and integration of features that impact multiple products at OCI
- Drive solutions and requirements into roadmaps and new features and functionality to increase customer demand.
- Help create key customer reference programs, sales collateral, public website content, reference architectures, and white papers.
- Frequently meet with and present to Oracle executive leadership and top-tier reference customers.
- Collaborate and coordinate with Oracle-wide stakeholders and work closely with external partners and internal product teams across the company.
- Manage strategic engagement with the field to help grow our international footprint, take market share, land marquis/big logos, and retain existing customers.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in production-grade distributed systems and cloud-native software engineering.
- Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or C++.
- Expertise in high-performance computing and ML model serving infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and experience mentoring across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, particularly in Systems, ML Infrastructure, or Compilers.
- Experience with LLM serving frameworks like vLLM, FasterTransformer, DeepSpeed, or Triton.
- Familiarity with agent-based systems.
- Contributions to LLM-native developer tools and compiler IRs.
- Experience with vector databases, tool APIs, and event-driven workflows.
- Foundation in OS internals, compiler pipelines, and systems programming.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale architecture efforts.
