Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Blender to join our team in the food processing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and kitchen operations, with an emphasis on blending ingredients to create high-quality products. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining sanitary conditions in the workplace.
This position mixes raw ingredients for the production of shelf stable soup, pasta, bean and rice dishes. This job will require the ability to carry 50lbs continuously throughout the shift.
Duties
- Operate blending equipment to mix ingredients according to specified recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food products are blended to the correct consistency and quality.
- Sanitate all equipment and work areas before and after blending processes.
- Monitor blending processes for efficiency and quality control.
- Maintain accurate records of blending activities and ingredient usage.
- Follow all food safety regulations and company policies regarding food handling.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues with blending equipment as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is preferred.
- Culinary experience or restaurant background is a plus, particularly in cooking, baking, or food handling.
- Familiarity with sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Basic math skills are required for measuring ingredients accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment as needed.
