Our company is a manufacturer and distributor of welded and machined components for the light and medium duty trailer market. We are looking for a full-time Production Line Quality Control Tech to work with our production and engineering team. This is a “hands on” position, working side by side with our production staff.
Responsibilities:
- Quality inspection of goods manufactured by K2
- Monitoring of production processes for compliance with quality standards and engineering drawings
- Recording critical dimensions throughout the manufacturing process
- Ongoing refinement of quality procedures and manufacturing processes
- Ongoing maintenance of QC tools and inspection of production equipment
- Documentation and reporting of product quality or manufacturing process issues
- Root cause analysis and communication of results to team members at all levels of the company
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds — physical strength and stamina are necessary for this job
- Must be productive with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work well in a metal fabrication and manufacturing environment
- Must be able to make accurate measurements with a tape measure, angle gauge, and various fixtures
- Must be able to correctly interpret manufacturing specifications and engineering drawings
- Must be an independent thinker and simultaneously a collaborative problem-solver (not merely a problem-identifier)
- Prior experience in quality, especially in manufacturing, is preferred
- A degree or certification in a relevant field is a plus
