The Production Operator will be responsible for reviewing orders, producing high-quality prints, operate multiple types of print machines and communicate with internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will be creative, have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize incoming orders based on such criteria as customer needs, workload, media, finishing, bindery, and machine capabilities.
- Estimate time and media requirements; inform the production manager and/or client of any requests that can’t be met and give recommendations to fulfill client needs.
- Receive, process, & modify client files as needed to print per specifications.
- Operate and maintain printers, scanners, bindery and/or finishing equipment.
- Maintain media, substrate, ink, toner, bindery, and/or finishing inventory.
- QC printed and finished materials based on our high-quality standard.
- Package completed projects for Will-Call, Delivery, or Shipping.
- Execute orders according to job ticket efficiently and accurately.
- Operate and maintain printing equipment to ensure proper functioning during the printing process
- Contact vendors for machine consumables and repairs when needed.
- Manage production workflow; meeting deadlines efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure quality of goods meet clientele satisfaction and industry level standards.
- Maintain a high level of communication with sales associates, project managers, and clientele; providing professional guidance on capabilities, scheduling, and solutions for success.
- Provide assistance to team members with various duties when possible.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 year minimum of digital printing experience required.
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and Acrobat or equivalent is desired.
- Working knowledge of inkjet and toner-based printing preferred.
- Knowledge of color theory and fundamentals of color and profiling preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be committed to quality and outstanding customer service.
- Attention to details & ability to consistently deliver outstanding customer service.
- Strong organizational skills in a deadline-based environment
- Ability to function and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
