Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Production Operator is responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, and ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to meet production targets while maintaining product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment, such as assembly lines and presses according to established procedures.
Start up and shut down machinery in accordance with safety guidelines.
Product Assembly:
Assemble components and products as per the production schedule and product specifications.
Ensure products are assembled correctly, meeting quality and safety standards.
Quality Control:
Perform regular inspections of materials, products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards per our product standards & work instructions.
Identify defects, errors, or deviations from production specifications and take corrective a report any quality issues to supervisors.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Report safety hazards, accidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Complete required production logs, including tracking units produced, machine settings, and any issues encountered.
Report production progress and discrepancies to supervisors or managers.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including machine maintenance and quality inspections.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and departments to achieve production goals.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Additional vocational training or certifications related to manufacturing or machinery operation is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably as a machine operator or in a production role, is preferred but not required.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
Basic math skills for measuring materials and tracking production.
History of good attendance
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for the entirety of your shift.
Ability to lift up to [50] pounds regularly.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and factory conditions.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
