Your Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Q standards, initiatives, technical concepts, verify application and effectiveness, monitor and evaluate Q-related production documentation, implement improvements to enhance process quality by Q KPI monitoring;
  • Oversee Q assurance tasks across the manufacturing process, with authority to stop production, decide on blocking of suspect or defective parts or products;
  • Identify weak areas, define and ensure implementation of improvement actions;
  • Support further development of quality in associated Linear Motion Plants/Segments;
  • Support for definition, implementation, control and consolidation of Q activities in the Plants/Segments;
  • Documentation, interpretation and reporting of relevant Q data for Operations Quality BD Linear Motion;
  • Supporting and taking responsibility for projects to continuously improve quality in Opertaions area, including associated Plants in line with overall Quality strategy of Linear Motion;
  • Developing and pursuing measures with the plants and segments in the event of deviations from targets and complaints;
  • Introduction of best practice and lessons learned activities;
  • Monitoring and supporting localization in the regions;
  • Supporting the implementation of customer-specific quality requirements in the associated Plants and Segments;
  • Ensuring and expanding quality standards in the Operations area;
  • Ensuring a globally shared understanding of quality in the area of responsibility;
  • defining/creating instructions for quality related topics at Operations;
  • Manage complaints, related costs and initiate corrective actions and lead structured problem solving approach for production issues, track implemention of corrective actions including lessons learned;
  • Responsible for defining and coordinating capability checks of manufacturing equipment during release/restart;
  • Provide Q related training for Operations.

Your Qualifications

  • Completed technical or scientific studies or Vocationally trained in Technical;
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in quality managemen;
  • Specific knowledge of quality assurance in development and production;
  • Very good command of written and spoken English and German;
  • International experience in negotiations with customers and other external partners, even in controversial issues and sensitive contexts;
  • Pertinent knowledge of quality systems and their application and implementation;
  • Pertinent knowledge of quality methods (PPAP, FMEA, Ishikawa, 5Why, ...) and their application;
  • International cultural experience and willingness to travel internationally;
  • Experience in project management;
  • Confident appearance and negotiating skills at all management levels, both internally and externally.
