Production Team Lead
Location: Belmond, IA
Reports to: Site Leader
Position Summary
At TriRinse, we believe that people come first. As a Production Team Lead, you will drive daily teamwork and ownership for safe, quality production. This hands-on role requires leadership skills and commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
- Manage and coordinate daily production, from startup to shutdown, ensuring smooth workflow, optimal resource utilization, proper equipment maintenance, accurate record-keeping, and achievement of desired results.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices within the production environment.
- Report all safety incidents/near misses and work with SHE Director and Department Leader to close gaps in a timely manner.
- Manage and monitor quality control measures, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Continually seek improvement opportunities and take appropriate partners in driving change
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to production team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Serve as right-hand partner and first-line backup for Site Leader and Assistant Site Leader
- Participate in the development and implementation of production plans, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
- As needed, provide technical troubleshooting of processes, equipment and products.
- Conduct team huddles at the beginning and end of each shift, to ensure understanding of and alignment with daily/weekly goals.
- Periodically audit area for organization of tools, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
- Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in a frontline leadership role, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment - experience in the agriculture or chemical industries a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership qualities – integrity, professionalism, care, and an ability to motivate and develop team members
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - experience with production management software a plus
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Environmental Conditions: Industrial warehouse environment.
