Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to dogs, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments with care. At Purely Paws we provide dog grooming only; we do not groom cats.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observed health concerns.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and any special instructions provided by pet owners.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to enhance service offerings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dog grooming.
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work with various breeds and temperaments.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices including dog training techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $31.00 per hour
