Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and preferences while maintaining a safe and clean environment for all animals.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, providing recommendations for care and maintenance.
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming procedures, pet health, and any concerns that may arise.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
- Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.
Skills
- Proficiency in pet grooming techniques and tools.
- Experience in dog training or handling is highly desirable.
- Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is a plus.
- Strong animal handling skills, including restraint techniques for various breeds.
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including health assessments and basic first aid.
- Ability to lift heavy animals safely as needed during grooming sessions.
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and their pets.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
