The Program Assistant provides critical organizational and operational support to ensure effective day-to-day functioning of JEDC. This role will balance the needs of programs, operations, and special projects with general administrative support.
Main Duties
- Director/Executive Support: calendars, registrations, meeting set-up
- Event Support: site visits, room prep, food/beverage, meeting minutes
- Compliance: event permits, gaming permits, insurance
- Facilities: recycling, deliveries, errands, repairs, tech
- Mail & Documents: sorting, scanning, record-keeping
- Procurement: orders, gear, storage coordination
- Special Projects: summer camps, raffles, legislative baskets, etc.
Qualifications
- 100% fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, SharePoint, Teams), as well as productivity tools (e.g., Asana).
- Demonstrated reliability and attention to detail in administrative functions including data entry and tracked metrics.
- Ability to support facility needs, lease agreements, vendor coordination, and procurement.
- Excellent communication skills for executive, board, and community interactions.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with compliance processes such as permits, insurance, and reporting preferred.
- Experience coordinating community programs, professional events, or youth camps/programs preferred.
- Requires on-site work at the JEDC headquarters in downtown Juneau; remote work is not authorized for this role.
