Posting Context Statement:
The 4-H Youth Development Program Coordinator will have a variety of administrative responsibilities to help the University of Idaho 4-H plan and implement the Learn Everywhere 4-H program. Responsibilities include supporting the Program Specialist, providing guidance and direction on converting 4-H curriculum into online learning and working within the Northern and Southern Extension regions to provide technical and programmatic support to 4-H professionals on the Learn Everywhere 4-H program.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.
Duties may include:
- Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
- Facilitating communicating between program participants and managerial staff
- Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
- Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
- Maintaining program calendars and schedules
- May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
- Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Other:
- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends when required
- Ability to travel occasionally when required
- Must possess a valid drivers license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university vehicles
Additional Preferred:
- Education and/or experience in K-12 education, instructional design, or a similar field
- Associates or Bachelors degree
- Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
- Ability to operate standard office equipment

Experience:
- Providing customer service
- Using centralized computer systems (such as financial) while completing administrative tasks
- Managing calendars and/or scheduling
- Experience interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or services
- Independently solving problems and performing liaison activities in a work setting and coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements
- Excellent verbal/written communication and relationship building skills
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach and bend
- Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move items weighing up to 40 pounds
