POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Director organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one to one interventions, small group facilitation and large group presentations. Capable of documenting participation and value of approaches in medical record. Assist with transportation for residents going to appointments and outings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsibilities: Manage activity employees to meet the needs of the department and creates scheduled to meet the needs of the residents. Arranging entertainers for social events and to create an interactive program that fits the desires and needs of the community.
- Outline of the day-to-day: To create resident activity schedules to be posted weekly and to assure transportation to medical appointments for the residents. Fast paced environment with many things occurring throughout the building at one time to assign staff to lead. Present topic of interest for the residents/families and to look for educational opportunities for our seniors. Assist in teachings in technology to our seniors and to arrange for opportunities for our seniors to "experience" their dreams.

Creative ideas, being a great communicator and consistent follow through to the families and residents is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Healthcare experience and/or educational background preferred. Computer skills in Word and Excel and creative art experience preferred. Capable to multitask is essential and to conduct yourself in a calm manner during times of demanding needs and timelines
