Job Overview:
We are seeking a Front Desk / Program Director who will play a key leadership role in the daily operations and overall success of the school. This person will be responsible for driving student enrollment, ensuring member satisfaction, and supporting the effective delivery of Gracie Barra’s world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs.
This position requires a proactive, organized, and personable individual with a passion for martial arts and community-building. The Program Director is the face of the academy and plays a crucial role in promoting its core values of Brotherhood, Integrity, and Development.
Duties:
- Student Enrollment & Retention
- Engage with potential students, give school tours, explain programs, and help convert leads into members.
- Customer Service
Be the main point of contact for students and families—answer questions, manage scheduling, and maintain relationships.
- Sales & Marketing
Handle inbound leads, manage CRM systems (e.g., Zen Planner), and execute local marketing strategies.Help organize classes, events, promotions, and belt ceremonies in partnership with instructors and the Head Professor.May include training and managing front desk staff or helping with instructor coordination.Qualifications:
- Program Coordination
- Team Leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales experience (especially in service-based industries)
- Passion for martial arts or fitness (training in BJJ is a plus but not always required)
- Organization and time management
- Tech-savvy with basic CRM or admin systems
Nice to have skills:
- Background in customer service or hospitality
- Bilingual (especially Spanish or Portuguese, depending on the area)
- Energetic, outgoing personality
