Salary Range: $48,000- $64,800

The Detroit Land Bank Authority works directly with individual buyers, as well as Community Partner organizations and developers for projects big and small.

The Program Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of administrative support assignments for DLBA occupied programs (?Programs?) where the reviewing and processing of documents, retrieving, and distribution of data or information is an essential and/or substantial part of the work. Additionally, this role will communicate with organizations and partner agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investigate and triage client and partner inquiries related to Occupied Programs; escalate to Program Manager as needed.
- Contact occupants and partners to collect and verify documentation needed for eligibility processing.
- Analyze documentation (e.g., eligibility documents, inspection reports, verification data) for accuracy and compliance with program rules and guidelines.
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with non-profit/for-profit partners and external agencies.
- Organize, upload, process and manage program documentation using the Salesforce platform.
- Enter, track, and report program data in Salesforce to maintain real-time accuracy.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve internal workflows and enhance program outcomes.
- Manage inspection scheduling and review inspection results in coordination with other departments.
- Provide program metrics and data reports as requested by leadership.
- Support onboarding of new partners and serve as a first point of contact for training and integration.
- Oversee OPDP compliance and support Salesforce-based enhancements to meet program needs.
- Assist with planning and facilitating outreach events and occupied-specific engagement efforts.
- Maintain knowledge of DLBA policies, housing trends, and relevant Detroit-based housing challenges.
- Support other duties as assigned by the Occupied Program Assistant Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor?s degree in business administration, public policy, urban planning, community development, social work, or a related field. Work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 2?3 years of relevant experience in case management, sales, or housing services.
- Strong commitment to serving Detroit residents and addressing housing stability issues.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaborate with internal and external organizations and stakeholders and build effective partnerships
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and grammar skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills, and good judgement to identify potential solutions
- Ability to interpret closings and related documents, and to ensure deeds are properly recorded in compliance with program requirements.
- Experience working with precariously housed populations and familiarity with tax foreclosure, utility delinquencies, or public property systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze data using systems like Salesforce.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build effective partnerships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- High level of customer service orientation
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Detroit residency preferred.
