Job Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordination and completion of Costera projects, including tank cleaning, scheduling of drum pickups, waste packaging and disposal, completing profiles and paperwork for clients and field staff, assisting the operations team with the daily dispatch and scheduling of field work. The Project Coordinator primarily function is to organizes the environmental services fieldwork, schedule projects, and interact with clients via email and phone calls to schedule and coordinate various projects.
Duties
- Prepare accurate quotes for the various types of projects and scopes of work offered by Costera.
- Prepare for sampling activities of various media, including preparation of chain-of-custody documents, selection of sample containers and bottle kits, and selection of proper analytical methods for waste characterization.
- Review laboratory analytical data, characterize waste material and prepare profiles and Land Disposal Restriction (LDR) forms for disposal.
- Prepare hazardous and non-hazardous waste manifests, bills of lading, and container labels for shipping various waste streams.
- Prepare daily dispatch emails for field staff outlining projects and schedule details for the following day.
- Communicate with field staff during daily activities to verify status and ongoing details of waste removal events, along with updating quantities of waste material or other project changes as required.
- Communicate with clients during the course of the workday to provide updates related to schedule or changes from original requests.
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to place orders or coordinate projects.
- Update Costera project management system with job status and other details needed to track and bill the project.
- File and organize project documents according to Costera policy in both electronic and hard copy formats.
- Understand and follow Health and Safety work practices, policies, and procedures.
- Attend safety training as required.
- Develop a basic working knowledge of all services provided by the company.
- Assist with other miscellaneous tasks related to business operations as required.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of environmental services or hazardous materials industry experience.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local hazardous waste and safety regulations preferred (training available).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Safety conscious.
- Ability to work productively without constant supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management, and to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to write and respond to emails or other correspondence in a professional manner.
- Ability to remain positive and adapt under adverse circumstances.

Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Occasionally work overtime.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
