Position OverviewThe Project Management Intern plays a vital role in ensuring that Tellegacy projects are well-organized, documented, and successfully executed. This is a leadership-focused internship where the Project Manager Intern serves as the hub between different teams, guiding meetings, supporting collaboration, and keeping projects moving forward. The intern will develop advanced skills in administration, coordination, and leadership, while contributing to meaningful initiatives in health equity, intergenerational programs, and community engagement.Key Responsibilities
- Meeting Facilitation & Administration
- Lead and guide team meetings with a clear structure (e.g., “what have we accomplished since last week,” “what are today’s goals,” and “what are next steps”).
- Prepare and share meeting agendas in advance; manage a shared screen during meetings to track agenda items, milestones, and adjustments in real time.
- Take comprehensive notes during meetings, ensuring that goals, assignments, and deadlines are captured and distributed promptly.
- Summarize action items, clarify responsibilities, and communicate next steps to all team members.
- Project Oversight & Tracking
- Monitor multiple ongoing projects simultaneously, ensuring that tasks are on schedule and goals are met.
- Track weekly goals and milestones across diverse projects, including healthcare research, marketing, and community engagement initiatives.
- Provide weekly progress reports to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
- Anticipate bottlenecks and propose timely solutions to keep projects on track.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and coordinate efforts among other interns (e.g., healthcare research interns, marketing interns, community engagement interns).
- Ensure clarity of responsibilities and alignment across teams.
- Maintain an organized project workflow and support a collaborative, accountable team culture.
- Model professionalism, adaptability, and initiative, setting the tone for team performance.
- Administrative Excellence
- Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure version control of shared files.
- Organize and manage calendars, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Support preparation of presentations, progress reports, and project dashboards.
Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate in Public Health, Business, Communications, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with proven attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Zoom (screen sharing, breakout rooms, meeting tools) and productivity platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project management software (Asana, Trello, or ClickUp preferred).
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Openness to feedback and commitment to personal and professional growth.
- Previous leadership or team coordination experience preferred.
