Job description
YOUR ROLE
- Plan and steer projects: You define scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria, build detailed plans, schedules and resource allocations, and manage execution using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
- Deliver life insurance initiatives: You lead large-scale projects end to end – from new product launches and system migrations to digital transformation and regulatory changes – and ensure they land on time, within scope and within budget.
- Align stakeholders: You are the main point of contact for business and technical teams, run regular project meetings, status updates and reporting, and manage expectations across actuarial, underwriting, claims, finance and operations.
- Coordinate teams and partners: You bring together internal teams, vendors and external partners, assign tasks, monitor performance and foster collaboration across functions.
- Manage risks and governance: You identify risks, issues and dependencies early, define mitigation and contingency plans, escalate when needed, monitor budgets, timelines and resource utilisation, and keep documentation and reporting dashboards up to date.
- Secure quality: You make sure deliverables meet the defined quality standards and support testing, validation and user acceptance.
- Navigate the insurance domain: You manage processes around Policy Administration Systems (PAS), underwriting workflows, claims processing (life, critical illness, disability), premium billing and collections, and reinsurance, and support compliance with regulatory requirements such as AML, KYC and local insurance authority guidelines.
YOUR PROFILE
- Delivery background: You bring 8–10 years of experience in project management or delivery roles and a proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large-scale projects.
- Life insurance expertise: You have worked in the life insurance domain and are familiar with product development, policy administration systems, regulatory compliance and digital transformation programmes.
- Methodology: You have a strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and Waterfall and choose the right approach for the project at hand.
- Planning & control: You are skilled in project planning and scheduling, risk and issue management, and budget and resource management.
- Leadership & communication: You communicate clearly, lead with confidence, work in an organised way and bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
