Seeking an on-site Project Manager to effectively administer the day-to-day aspects of planned and on-going client construction projects. In this role, you will represent the client overseeing all aspects of the project. Our Client projects occur throughout New York State but most frequently in the Finger Lakes, Central New York, Northern NY and the Southern Tier.
The Project Manager must possess a thorough understanding of logistical planning and implementation; and shall communicate, review, and advise clients regarding the current project status and anticipate any needs or circumstances affecting the successful outcome of each project. The position responsibilities include:
- Overseeing construction projects from conception to completion including coordination of design teams and contractor selection, scheduling project, managing budgets and communicating with owners and architects.
- Coordinating subcontractors and the construction team to meet contractual conditions of performance and update all schedules accordingly including coordinating and monitoring regular meetings, materials procurement, approving change orders and payment requisitions and preparing internal/external job status reports.
- Ensure that project standards for quality and completion are met including negotiating agreement terms, managing construction contract drafts, bidding on projects, and obtaining permits to analyze and mitigate risks, implementing all aspects of Quality and Quality Control procedures, monitoring all aspects of safety and reporting project status to Company management.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Construction Management or related field and 3 – 5 years of experience in a project management role. Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience in project management roles will be considered.
Successful candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders in the project, strong project and time management skills, a keen awareness and adherence to project deadlines, and superior problem solving skills.
