Job Title: Property Maintenance Technician (Bilingual – English/Spanish)
Location: Northern New Jersey (Newark, East Orange, Irvington, Passaic, Paterson area)
Job Type: Full-Time
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Property Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance across a portfolio of multifamily residential properties in Northern New Jersey. This includes two-family homes, mid-sized buildings, and a 43-unit apartment complex.
Responsibilities:
Respond to service calls and emergencies from tenants
Perform general repairs: electrical, plumbing, sheetrock, spackle, and painting
Replace hot water tanks and troubleshoot boilers
Conduct bi-weekly property inspections
Ensure lawn care, snow removal, and cleanliness of common areas
Report suspicious activity or issues to the office
Communicate with the office to schedule and document work
Use a tablet to log maintenance tasks and take photos of completed jobs
Requirements:
Bilingual (English & Spanish) required
Experience in general property maintenance (minimum 3 years preferred)
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Must be organized, reliable, and able to work independently
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
Comfortable using a tablet or smartphone for reporting and communication
On-call availability for emergency maintenance
