We are seeking a passionate and reliable part-time BAKER to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry, or a passionate home baker. The BAKER will work with our head baker and general manager to follow recipes, ensuring freshness and quality, maintain the stock of our pastry case and help shape the sweet side of our cafe. The hours are somewhat flexible- either baker's hours (2am-7am) OR afternoons/evenings (4pm-8pm). Ideally looking for someone to work roughly 10-15 hours a week.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a range of products, including breads and oat bars
- Follow recipes and adjust ingredients as necessary to achieve desired results.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and knives.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the baking area to comply with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure timely production of baked goods.
Requirements
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and in presentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
