Job Description
Avila Valley Barn is now taking applications to take part in our seasonal pumpkin patch fall festivities! During fall, Avila Valley Barn is transformed into a pumpkin wonderland! We offer over 45 different varieties of pumpkins and gourds, delicious caramel apples, fresh pressed apple cider, hay mazes for the kids, fall photo ops and much more! This unique opportunity only comes once a year… so come celebrate fall with us and help create special memories with our community!
During this 5 - 8 week timeframe, our work hours range from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm. Part-time and full-time hours are available during this short season!
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to commit to the full season with consistent and timely attendance.
- The ability to lift roughly 50 lbs or less repeatedly
- Must have reliable transportation
- Be physically able and enjoy being on your feet
- Have an outgoing and positive attitude
Job Positions and Duties:
These positions will be rotated throughout the season!
Security and Guest Services
- Monitoring the premises to prevent theft, checking customer receipts at exits, maintaining a safe environment, welcoming guests, and providing visitor information.
Pumpkin Stockers
- Responsible for stocking and organizing pumpkins, maintaining display areas, and assisting customers with pumpkins.
Pumpkin Weigh Station
- Checking out customers efficiently, verifying receipts, and assisting with basic questions about pumpkin selection.
Forklift Driver
- Safely transporting and organizing pumpkin bins and assisting with setup and restocking utilizing a forklift, flatbed truck, and other heavy equipment... Forklift experience required.
Register & Stocker
- Restocking merchandise while keeping the store clean and organized, pricing, and assisting customers at the register with friendly and efficient service.
Goat Food Stand
- Selling goat food to customers, restocking feed bins and providing visitor information.
