QHSES Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Contact person for QHSES matters within their assigned region
- Case Management: Support all, occurrence investigations, root-cause analysis events, reporting and corrective action management via EVOTIX360
- Action Management: develop, implement, communicate and follow-up immediate, corrective and preventive actions on all levels, internal and external, sourced from incident investigations and audits via EVOTIX360
- Tender Support: support deugro branches and corporate functions on Prequalification, Tenders, Questionnaires, and provision of up-to-date ISO certification and QHSES statistics
- Document Management: support in maintenance of up-to-date IMS documentation in HELIX, QHSES shared drives, and EXOTIX
- Assist deugro branches and project teams in the planning of projects in relation to preparation of project-specific QHSES documentation and Safe Systems of Work (including, but not limited to risk assessments, regional work instructions, job safety analysis, toolbox talks etc)
- Support deugro branches and project teams during project execution, by participating in site safety activities including QHSES meetings, safety inspections and audits
- Support on QHSES related matters with colleagues, subcontractors, clients and external third parties, both pre- and post- contract award through to execution of work scope and close-out
- Implement usage of ROAM 5 (EVOTIX360 via mobile application) across the region to promote a proactive approach to QHSES in the reporting of observations
- Demonstrate a flexible and professional approach at all times to matters of QHSES in deugro facilities and external locations with all stakeholders, both internal and external
- Support the region with communicating developed QHSES moments and development of QHSES initiatives, lessons learned and case studies
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of deugro QHSES training concepts and material available on My Talent Center within Helix
- Contribute and deliver QHSES trainings and orientations across the region of responsibility
- Participation in meetings, events and trainings related to QHSES subjects as and when required
- Perform Site Safety Inspections and write reports as required
Skills, knowledge, and expertise:
- Minimum experience of 1 years as a full-time QHSES / HSE Professional or like position
- Work experience with a transportation company preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check to obtain TWIC Credentials
- Effective interpersonal skills including effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, ability to provide leadership, teamwork, training and a proactive work ethics
- Creativity, autonomy, flexibility, adaptability and rigor
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Experience in a variety of risk management processes and tools such as HAZOP, JSA, and Root Cause analysis
- Strong organizational, documentation and technical writing skills
- Willingness to travel between 15-25% or as needed
- Computer skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office - MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s or Higher degree of education in Occupational Health and Safety preferred but not required
- Aptitude for conducting investigations and creating investigation reports as applicable.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and analysing technical documents.
- Strong organizational, documentation and technical writing skills
- Mechanical background experience preferred
