Pay Range: $20.00 to $26.80
Shift: Mornings
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
The Kwik Trip Dairy is looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Lab Technician to join our team. This individual will work closely with the Dairy Quality Assurance Manager, management and supervisors to report and analyze products produced in the Dairy.
Regular Duties include but are not limited to:
- Daily sensory evaluation of products
- Set up, monitor and document results of product shelf life studies
- Enter lab samples into a web-based data management system
- Set lab sampling schedules and coordinate delivery to lab
- Sampling – environmental, products, ingredients
- Appendix N testing
- Maintain lab equipment including calibrations
- Work with existing Quality Programs, assist in implementation of new programs and will be involved in all aspects of quality assurance and food safety
- Responsible for communicating any quality or food safety issues to management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, OR Associates degree OR equivalent work experience and/or training in Food Science or related field.
- Experience and knowledge of lab testing procedures and food safety and QA programs, such as HACCP, FSMA and GMPs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Accurate and detail oriented.
- Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret numbers and follow company policies.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks and meet department deadlines.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday working 4:00am to 12:00pm with rotating holidays, weekends, and on-call schedule. Weekend Premium Pay: additional $3.00 an hour between the hours of 7:30pm Friday and 5:00am Monday.
