As a Quality Engineer Intern at Danfoss Drives in Loves Park, Illinois, you’ll work alongside experienced quality professionals on projects that directly support our manufacturing operations and customer satisfaction. - Support quality initiatives by analyzing defect data, validating information, and assisting with non-conformance investigations to improve product quality and process performance.Participate in Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities, helping identify issues and implement sustainable solutions.Partner with production, warehouse, and quality teams to gather feedback, improve processes, and support operational excellence initiatives.Assist with updates to PFMEAs, Control Plans, standard operating procedures, and work instructions to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with quality standards.Collaborate with Quality Engineers to understand manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and how data supports business and operational decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.Understanding of quality management principles and an interest in manufacturing, continuous improvement, and problem-solving.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and functions.Good organizational, project management, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, or quality management systems is a plus.
