We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished steel products to ensure they meet specified standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and final goods using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques.
Verify conformance to specifications including dimensional checks, surface quality, and mechanical properties.
Accurately document inspection results and maintain detailed records.
Assist in identifying and isolating non-conforming materials; initiate corrective and preventive actions.
Support the implementation of quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate with production and warehouse teams to address quality issues in real time.
Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control or inspection, preferably in a steel or metal processing environment.
Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges.
Understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
