Nutra19 is seeking a hands-on Quality Lead to oversee daily quality assurance activities in our GMP-compliant nutraceutical manufacturing facility. Reporting Structure:
- Direct Report: President of Nutra19
- Indirect Report: General Manager
Responsibilities:
- Oversee in-plant quality assurance processes across production shifts
- Perform and supervise in-process inspections and final release checks
- Ensure GMP compliance and maintain batch record accuracy
- Oversee QC activities and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards including cGMP CFR 111-21 for Dietary Supplement Manufacturing, USDA Organic Certification and approval, and (optionally) NSF/ANSI Certification for Sports Medicine and Food Safety Certification
- Train production and maintenance personnel on quality practices and GMP expectations
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external inspections
- Investigate deviations, implement CAPAs, and track quality KPIs
- Actively participate in cross-training efforts and support cross-functional quality knowledge
- Experience in a clean manufacturing environment a plus
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical QA
- Working knowledge of GMP standards and batch documentation
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working on the production floor
