Job Description:
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of machined components using a variety of hand tools, microscopes, and automated inspection equipment, emphasis on programming and running of OGP SmartScope Flash 200 or other video-based inspection systems.
- Perform outgoing, first article, in process, raw material, and tooling inspection.
- Test and measure finished parts and assemblies to verify adherence to functional specifications.
- Mark items for acceptance or rejection, record test results and inspection data, and compare findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards
- Prepare and maintain accurate electronic and hand written inspection records for in house and delivery to the customer.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work environment.
- Actively participate in Maxcam’s customer quote review process assuring inspection criteria are captured from the very beginning of our customer’s product development process.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- ASQ Mechanical Inspector Certification or 3+ years related experience performing mechanical part inspection in a machined parts fabrication environment.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize workload, and analyze/solve problems.
- Ability to work independently under pressure with multiple deadlines.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (esp. Word & Excel)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standard a plus
- Knowledge of JobBoss ERP a plus
