Summary:
Responsible for multi-modality, scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming physician orders for appointments for the Radiology department. Works with physicians, nursing and office personnel inside and outside of the Medical Center at Prosper to verify orders and preps. Will provide excellent customer service to patients, families, physicians and staff. Will use clear communication between department leaders to avoid scheduling and staffing conflicts. Time management and closed loop communication is essential in this role.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s course work or additional business courses preferred
- 2 years’ experience in medical field
- Knowledge of medical and radiologic terminology sufficient to respond to general inquiries
- Computer experience with 40-50 wpm typing skills
- Operate and understand use of various office machines: copier, fax, voice mail, e-mail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- CPR - Heartsaver within 60 days of start date
