JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Ensures data integrity and patient safety. Sends and retrieves DICOM images into PACS systems within and outside of the organization verifying that clinical content is accurately stored and accessible. Possesses, acquires, and maintains the technical/professional expertise required to do the job effectively and to create effective customer solutions. Technical/professional expertise is demonstrated through problem solving, applying technical knowledge, and product and service management for the functional area in which employee operates.
Oversees and coordinates radiology quality assurance activities with the maintenance and release of radiology information governed by ACR, HIPAA, as well as State and Federal guidelines.
Provides Clinician and patient support for continuity of care.
Performs a wide variety of computer tasks supporting clinical processes to ensure that the Accessibility and integrity of patient information is maintained for the continuity of care. Interacts extensively with customers to solve problems for patient care providers, nursing homes, clinics, research agencies, patients, family members, attorneys, government agencies, external acute care facilities, and internal customers. Provides customer service that is guideline and procedure based and is service system monitored including acknowledgement and documentation of service guidelines, resolution, monitoring, and closure of all Radiology Images/Report requests. Uses expert knowledge and skills to assess customer needs and thereby resolve complex customer service requests within specified service agreement levels.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
8:30am-5:00pm
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer skills such as databases, word processing, excel, printer, voice mail, photocopier, fax, and e-mail required.
Must have computer software and hardware knowledge.
Must be able to display initiative in identifying problems and outlining solutions.
Must have well developed analytical and data management skills for problem solving and decision making around clinical patient data.
Must be highly organized and self-motivated to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must maintain data integrity in all health information electronic systems.
Requires service-oriented individuals with strong customer relations, listening, verbal, written, and analytical skills.
Ability to provide training to internal customers related to image sharing/ availability.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to form good working relationships with people at all levels.
The ability to handle multiple priorities, ambiguity, continuous change, and stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Three years of experience in radiology department or related healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of radiology department workflow and various imaging modalities including PACS images preferred.
Familiarity with specific radiology information applications such as Epic Radiant and PACS preferred
