Seattle Neighborhood Group is looking for an energetic Rainier Beach: A Beautiful Safe Place for Youth Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the work of the organization. Our work helps bridge gaps between community and government entities by sharing knowledge of public safety and local needs, building and/or supporting effective partnerships, and connecting people to resources. We build authentic relationships with the communities we serve and bring an asset-based approach to all our work.

Basic Requirements

● Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

● Highly organized and detail oriented.

● Ability to work empathetically with a wide variety of people from different social and cultural backgrounds.

● Willingness to learn and take feedback.

● Self-starter who can work independently as well as collaborate with a team.

● Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.

● This position requires transport of meeting materials and supplies and requires the ability to lift twenty pounds and to navigate uneven surfaces.

● Work may be required in the evening or on weekends.

● Undergraduate degree desired but not required.

● Candidates must undergo a criminal background check; However criminal history will not necessarily preclude employment.
