We are seeking a new team member for our very busy shipping/receiving department.
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, the Receiving Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for receiving, and recording of incoming shipments of raw materials and other product in a timely fashion as well as performing random inspections.
This position will conduct regular physical counts of inventory to verify accuracy against recorded data and assist in resolving discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records and provide regular reporting on inventory issues.
Core Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming raw material /product shipments.
- Assist in unloading incoming shipments.
- Complete random incoming inspection of product.
- Timely recording of incoming receipt documentation and communication of any issues .
- Ensure incoming shipments are labelled, stored in adherence to our receiving work instructions.
- Assist with regular inventory cycle counts.
- Communication and delivery of inventory batches to Production.
- Collaborate with support departments on inventory issues.
- Monitor inventory levels to identify when stock needs to be replenished/packaging materials order.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move products within the warehouse.
- Assist support warehouse functions, as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Work to standards as identified in the ISO9001 Quality Program
Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Abilities Required:
- Previous experience in a receiving and inventory role or similar warehouse environment is required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Experience with basic Excel preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is highly desirable.
