Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for monitoring and upkeep of all Ammonia Refrigeration systems
Perform shift audits of boilers, steam plant and all steam end users
Test and treat boiler feed water; monitors RO and water softeners
Observes boiler, condensate, and feed water systems units to detect malfunctions. Make adjustments and repairs as required
Maintain log of meter and gauge readings and records data such as water test results, quantity of fuel consumed, temperature and pressures
Assist with troubleshooting, analyzing and repair of electrical control systems
Willing and able to work a schedule covering 24/7/365
Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Specific Eye Requirements: no contact lenses allowed in engine room when welding or electrical troubleshooting and repair
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
State Technical School apprenticeship and/or Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or an accredited Industrial Refrigeration, Boiler Tech program or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have knowledge of compressed air systems
Must be able to train and be certified in Hazmat Level A Entry
Must be dependable and have the ability to work flexible hours and/or shifts
Must be detail oriented
Must be a team player, but also work well alone
Preferred Qualifications
Previous production/maintenance/refrigeration experience
RETA or IIAR Certification a plus
Industrial Ammonia/Refrigeration and Electrical experience preferred
