Job Title: Regional Sales Representative - Texas Region

Job brief
We are looking for a Regional Sales Representative to help expand our customer reach, help us increase our sales revenues and maintain customer relationships within an assigned, established geographical territory. Rep should reside in DFW area(70% of territory business here)
In this role, we seek outstanding organizational and sales skills. We expect you to be an excellent communicator who understands customer needs. If you are also goal-driven and analytical, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will ensure our clients are happy and work hard to grow our sales.
You will be taking over ownership of an established and successful sales territory.
Job Duties
- Maintain relationships with existing clients
- Over the road travel
- Meet with customers to address concerns and provide solutions
- Discover sales opportunities through immersion in industry news and networking
- Present products and services to prospective customers
- Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g. trade shows)
- Regular follow-up on sales to ensure ongoing satisfaction
- Conduct product training with customers to ensure their proficiency in product use
- Cold calls by phone, site visit, and e-mail
- Monitor competition within assigned region
- Research and reporting on facilities in the area
- Prepare and submit documentation of work performed/status updates to Sales Manager
- Personal delivery of product where appropriate
- Troubleshooting product issues with support from office
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as an outside sales representative, territory manager or manufacturer’s rep
- Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is required
- Travel mostly in DFW
- Be able to lift 75+ pounds unassisted
- Proficient in MS Office and or Google office suite preferred
- Reliable vehicle with significant cargo capacity: Truck or SUV typically preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Laptop computer with reliable internet access
- Clean driving record
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Self motivated/comfortable working independently
- Must be able to spend initial 3 weeks (M-F) of employment/training in/around company home office in Georgia
Preferred Qualifications
- BSc/BA in Business, Marketing, engineering or a related field or equivalent exp
- 3+ years client-facing sales
- 2+ years mechanical or engineering experience
- Experience in manufacturing; specifically the corrugated or fine paper industry
- Comfortable getting dirty/working with hands
- Personable: engaging talker/discussion partner
- ACTIVE AND PERCEPTIVE LISTENER - Listen to the customers and hear what they’re not saying/what they’re meaning to say
- Strong creative problem-solving capacity
- Prior experience making cold calls
- Experience driving 20,000 - 30,000 miles a year
Salary
- Base salary of $60K- $75K/yr + commission on territory sales (base salary dependent upon experience)
Expected Income Range
- $80,000-$120,000 or more per year
