Position Summary
As Engineering Manager, you will oversee a distributed team of engineers working on mission-critical projects involving CFD modeling, physical prototyping, and advanced test systems. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise. You'll be responsible for aligning engineering execution with business objectives, managing timelines and resources, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a remote, cross-functional team of engineers across multiple projects.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring timelines, quality standards, and objectives are met.
- Provide technical oversight on engineering models, designs, and systems.
- Collaborate closely with leadership, clients, and technical stakeholders to align goals and deliverables.
- Implement and uphold engineering best practices, quality control processes, and documentation standards.
- Mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development within the team.
- Promote a strong culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or management role.
- Strong background in civil, mechanical, aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience working on or overseeing CFD modeling, physical modeling, or simulation-driven engineering projects.
- Proven ability to lead remote teams and coordinate across multiple time zones.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus but not required.
