Position Summary
Research-Based Therapy (RBT) Team Lead
As a Research-Based Therapy (RBT) Team Lead, you will provide clinical supervision and oversight to RBTs and Paraprofessionals, ensuring compliance with credentialing and agency standards. Working under clinical supervision, you will support client stability and growth through assessments, service coordination, and the development of Person-Centered Plans. You will collaborate with families, deliver or coordinate appropriate treatment services, and monitor the quality and effectiveness of care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Direct Services
- Serve on each client’s multidisciplinary treatment team and create and implement Person-Centered Plans.
- Develop crisis, transition, and discharge plans when clients enter or exit services.
- Complete Intake Based on Service Authorization
Direct Services
- Work to create therapeutic interventions, crisis interventions, behavioral interventions, psycho-educational activities and other best evidence-based practice therapies.
- Train paraprofessionals in reviewing, applying and achieving goals as indicated in the Person-Centered Plan.
- Provide parent/guardian/natural support training that will aid persons interacting with the client in dealing more effectively with the client.
- Facilitate child and family team meetings; train parents/natural supports in skills to reinforce therapeutic gains.
- Coordinate care with schools, medical providers, and community agencies; link clients to ancillary resources.
- 24/7 Crisis Response
This position will be hybrid and may require some evening work.
Documentation & Quality Assurance
- Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation (service notes, treatment goals, progress updates) in accordance with Exhale policies, HIPAA, and CARF standards.
- Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
- Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) development
- Ongoing data analysis and treatment modifications
- Parent training and caregiver coaching
- Coordination with other professionals (SLPs, OTs, schools, etc.)
- Documentation for payers, authorizations, and progress reports
- Participate in regular chart reviews, peer consultations, and individual supervision to maintain best-practice delivery.
- Monitor Ongoing Service Authorization
Qualifications
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a closely related
- field with 1+ years of fulltime experience
- and
- BCBA Certification Issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; clinician-level fluency in English.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal laptop.
- Clear background check and drug screening; free from illicit substance use.
