POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Residential Manager
Division: Residential

Salary: $52,000 to $52,000
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of one Community Living Arrangement. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Promoting the NERS and DDS mission in the areas of choice, community integration and participation, status, relationships and competency for all individuals supported by NERS.
- Assessment of individual needs through observation, staff input and consultation with all pertinent team members.
- Preparation for and facilitation of Individual Planning meetings and subsequent Quarterly meetings, IDT meetings and completion of related minutes and reports.
- Continuous monitoring of goals and services for each individual
- Hiring of new employees in coordination with resident involvement
- Orientation of all new employees according to DDS regulation and NERS policy
- Supervision of all CLA staff to include:
- Observation and feedback regarding performance during direct support shifts
- Scheduled supervision and performance meetings with staff
- Progressive discipline as needed
- Attend and participate in Union grievances
- Coordination and supervision of Special Responsibilities Scheduling and monitoring of staff training
- Coordination of all medical issues
- Consultation with nurse
- Monitoring of the medication system Completion of Incident Report forms for all incidents and medication errors
- Facilitation of regular staff meetings to include retraining and review of programs
- Finances – Responsible use of petty cash and agency credit card
- Management of finances for each individual
- Checking accounts balanced monthly and prepared for monthly audits by the Business Mgr.
- Running ledgers for checking, savings accounts, gift cards, petty cash and cash on hand, reconciliation of petty cash
- All receipts recorded and submitted weekly to the office
- Complete re-determination forms for DSS to maintain funding
- Monitoring budget Scheduling of staff
- Completion of the bi-weekly on line timecard review
- Consultation with the Behaviorist
- Preparation for the licensing inspection in coordination with Residential Directors
- Liaison with parents, guardians and advocates
- Adherence to all policies and procedures
- Preparation and submission of PRC/HRC packets as needed.
- Presentation at HRC/PRC reviews as needed.
- Is physically able to perform all required job functions which may include the following: lifting, various physical management techniques, light and heavy household tasks, driving and life saving techniques
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Residential Director
The House Manager is expected to work a schedule that approximates sixteen hours of direct support and twenty-four hours of administrative duties.
Education/Experience
Prefer a Bachelor’s degree, or Associates degree along with additional years of experience in residential services acceptable
Minimum three years in residential services
