Position Summary / Purpose
As a Restoration Contents Technician, the ideal candidate will create high levels of customer satisfaction by exceeding their expectations and fulfilling the company's contractual obligations through timely and profitable delivery of restoration contents services. The Ideal candidate must be meticulous and reliable. In this role, you will be responsible for photographing, documenting, and inventorying damages to personal property, as well as ensuring the safe handling, cleaning and storage of items affected by water, fire, or mold damage. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a genuine desire to help people.
Key Responsibilities:
· Photograph and Document Damages: Accurately capture high-quality images of damaged personal property and areas affected by water, fire, or mold. Document the extent of damage and ensure detailed reports are completed for insurance purposes.
· Inventory Management: Catalog and inventory of personal belongings and furniture affected by the damage. Label items for proper identification and organize them for packing, protection, and storage. Document Total Loss Items by listing brands and types of items for a comprehensive total loss and cleaning inventory List.
· Packing and Protecting Property: Carefully pack and protect valuable personal property using industry-standard materials (e.g., bubble wrap, boxes, protective covers). Ensure that items are safeguarded during transportation to temporary storage or while cleaning and restoration processes are underway.
· Deodorizing and Cleaning: Follow company procedures for deodorizing and cleaning personal belongings, including furniture, electronics, clothing, and other household items. Use appropriate cleaning solutions to remove water, fire, or mold residue.
· Tracking of Items: Track Contents Large and small during the cleaning and storage process
· Storage and Return of Items: Oversee the secure storage of cleaned and restored items in a safe and organized manner. Once restoration is complete, coordinate the return of items to the homeowner’s property, ensuring everything is placed back as it was before the damage occurred.
· Customer Service: Communicate with Team Members to inform them of progress and status updates on the restoration and cleaning process. Ensuring homeowners’ belongings are treated with respect.
· Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of both the homeowner’s property and team members during the restoration process. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including mold removal and proper handling of hazardous materials.
· Cleaning: Maintain a clean workspace onsite and in the warehouse. Clean the warehouse and office as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a restoration, moving, or inventory management role is preferred. Knowledge of water, fire, or mold damage restoration is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to document damages accurately.
- Proficiency in using photography equipment (DSLR, digital cameras, or smartphones).
- Organizational skills for inventory management and packing.
- Ability to clean and care for personal property safely.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and move personal property of various sizes and weights. You must be comfortable working in various environments, including areas affected by water or smoke damage.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to work in a team environment and assist homeowners with empathy and professionalism.
- Certifications: IICRC certification in water, fire, or mold damage restoration is a plus but not required.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
