Escondido Post Acute is a compassionate, resident-centered Skilled Nursing Facility dedicated to providing high-quality care and rehabilitation services. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our clinical team and help residents maintain their highest level of functional ability and independence.
Position Summary:
The Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) works under the direction of nursing and therapy staff to implement restorative care plans and individualized therapy-based activities for residents. This role bridges nursing and rehab to support residents' quality of life and mobility.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily restorative programs including ambulation, range of motion exercises, and other mobility support
- Provide encouragement and emotional support during restorative care activities
- Document participation, progress, and outcomes in accordance with care plans
- Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation teams to monitor residents’ functional abilities
- Report changes in resident condition or participation to nursing staff promptly
- Help maintain equipment and supplies needed for restorative care programs
- Ensure resident dignity, safety, and rights are upheld during all activities
Qualifications:
- Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in California
- Completion of RNA training program (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in restorative care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred
- Ability to motivate and engage residents with a positive attitude
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Must be compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented
