Position Summary
As a Retail Associate, you will assist in the daily management and operations of The Gleaning Place. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys varied responsibilities, values teamwork, and takes pride in serving others.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with moving and setting up furniture and store displays
- Retrieve and organize supplies for store operations
- Perform light janitorial duties (sweeping, vacuuming, dusting) to maintain a clean environment
- Clean restrooms on consistent schedule
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions
- Prepare day-end reports to New Path
- Recruit and coordinate store volunteers
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service to all guests
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving furniture
- Basic math skills and ability to use a cash register
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team
Benefits
- Part-time, flexible schedule (up to 20 hours per week) - Wednesday through Saturday
